Give your customers a wider choice of payment methods with our newly released Google Checkout Payment module for osCommerce.

Google Checkout is the new kid on the block when it comes to payment gateways. The Google Checkout system is very similar to way Paypal does things, customers create an account with Google and store their credit card details for quick and easy checkout at any participating online stores.

Google Checkout has grown hugely in popularity since it's launch, this is mainly due to the aggressive marketing tactics they have employed. Big name stores have got on board the Google bandwagon and in a very short space of time Google Checkout has become very popular.

Our Google Checkout module integrates directly into the osCommerce system, customers proceed through your store in the normal way and at the checkout they select Google Checkout as their payment option. The final order confirmation page displays a Google checkout button which directs the customer to the Google site where the customer can either login, or create a new account. After the customer has completed their payment process they can either return to your store or close the browser.

As the store owner you can now login to your osCommerce admin backend and view the status of the newly placed order. Our module integrate directly in the order management screen so all order maintenance is done within a single screen. The first stage of completing an order is to view the current payment status, if the order was placed within the last few minutes the payment status may still be "reviewing". The reviewing status means Google is verifying the payment details and will notify you when the payment has been checked.

If the payment checks out ok then the status will automatically be updated to Chargeable, this means you can now prepare the order for dispatch or order in any items if necessary. Once your ready to dispatch the order you simply click the "Charge" button, this tells Google that you now want to charge the customers credit card for the full amount. Within a few minutes the order should update to "Charged". At this point you can send the order to the customer knowing that the payment has been accepted successfully.

After a payment is charged an option to apply a partial or full credit to the order is available. If for whatever reason you need to do a refund you simply enter the amount and click "Refund".

Our Google Checkout payment module has been written from the ground up and was designed specifically to fully integrate with osCommerce. All daily tasks associated with processing payments are all done from within osCommerce, there is no need to login to Google.

Our module also features our unique update feature which allows users to automatically update to the newest release of the payment module at a click of button. This ensures that your payment module is fully maintained and up to date at all times.
